Presently the AG-FKT has these openings available:

Two PhD Positions

Master-/Bachelorarbeiten

Serious about doing a PhD? Check this out 1st.

PhD Position in Condensed Matter Theory (I)

Prof. Brenig is a principal investigator of the newly established Collaborative Research Center of the German Science Foundation (DFG), "Correlated Magnetism: from Frustration to Topology", SFB 1143.

Within this CRC a PhD position in Condensed Matter Theory, starting 2015, on the topic of Spin transport and dynamics in frustrated quantum magnets will be announced soon. This PhD research will be performed at the Institute of Theoretical Solid State Physics of the Technical University of Dresden, embedded into the stimulateing research environment of the DRESDEN-concept - an alliance for excellence in research and culture.

For details, please contact Prof. Dr. Wolfram Brenig w.brenig[AT]tu-bs.de ([AT]=@) or revisit this site frequently to get updated.

PhD Position in Condensed Matter Theory (II)

Prof. Brenig is a principal investigator of the newly established PhD Programme Contacts in Nanosystems funded by the State of Lower Saxony.

Within this program a PhD position in Condensed Matter Theory, starting Feb. 1st 2015, on the topic of Real time dynamics of energy and spin currents in finite quantum magnets is available. This PhD research will be performed at the Institute for Theoretical Physics in Braunschweig profiting from a collaborative environment which brings brings together the complementary expertises of physicists and engineers at the three universities in Braunschweig, Clausthal-Zellerfeld and Hannover joining with the PTB Braunschweig to achieve a better understanding and control of contact effects in nanostructures.

To apply, please visit http://www.nth-nano.de/nth.html. For additional details, please contact Prof. Dr. Wolfram Brenig w.brenig[AT]tu-bs.de ([AT]=@).

Master-/Bachelorarbeiten
